4 P’s of GT’s Kombucha
Unlike my early twenties, I'm not a huge drinker anymore. There is no significant reason other than the fact that I genuinely enjoy feeling my best. So when there are times I want something more than water, I reach for GT's Kombucha. I find the taste incredibly refreshing and thirst-quenching. It's interesting to apply the 4 P's to their product, too.
Product
By definition, kombucha is fermented tea. But GT's sells it as a wellness beverage that promotes gut health. They have many flavors (my favorite is Guava Goddess) and a few different product lines.
Price
Their kombucha sure isn't cheap! They use a value-add price strategy. For a 16oz bottle, you're spending around $3.59. But hey, it is still less expensive than alcohol, so I can easily justify it.
Place
Initially, the only place you could find kombucha was Whole Foods and select grocery stores. But they have since expanded, and now you can find GT's at nearly all grocery stores and even in gas stations.
Promotion
What started as a family-owned business that made its start by offering samples has grown tremendously. They do a lot of influencer marketing by partnering with food bloggers who focus on a healthy lifestyle.
What I think made GT's a success is that they did not overcomplicate any of the 4 P's. They stayed authentic to who they are while offering a delicious drink to consumers.
